Currently there are 979 vacancies in 23 categories like IAS, IFS, IPS etc. 38 vacancies for differently abled. Civil Services Exam 2025: Complete Application Guide 

• The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a competitive exam in India that recruits people for higher civil services in the government.
• The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the exam.
• The services offered include the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Revenue Services (IRS), and Indian Foreign Services (IFS).

Schedule of Events:

• Start date for submitting online application January 22, 2025 (10:00 A.M.)
• Last date for submitting online application February 18, 2025 (05:00 P.M.)
• The preliminary examination Date : May 25, 2025.
• The Mains exam Date: August 22, 2025.

Vacancy Details

• Currently there are 979 vacancies in 23 categories like IAS, IFS, IPS etc.
• 38 vacancies for differently abled.

Upper Age Limit

• 21- 32 Years

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Selection Process

• The exam has three phases: preliminary, main, and Interview.
• The preliminary exam has two objective-type papers.
• The main exam has nine conventional papers, including two qualifying language papers and Descriptive type paper
• The third phase is an interview

Instructions for Candidates

• The photo should be no more than 10 days old from the date of application
• The photo should display your name and the date it was taken
• The scanned photo and signature should be in JPG format
• The file size of the photo and signature should be between 20 KB and 300 KB.

Application Fee

• The application fee for the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) in 2025 is ₹100 for general and OBC male candidates.
• Candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories and female candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.

How to Apply

• Visit the official website https://upsconline.gov.in/
• Click on  ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR) FOR EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC AND ONLINE APPLICATION
• Click on Registration link
• Read the instructions and click on proceed to application
• Fill the Registration form and submit
• Login after registration and apply.
• Fill the application form
• Upload the photo, signature, certificate and other documents.
• Submit the application form. After Final Submit, Candidates are required to take a printout of the online application form.
