Kerala PSC Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector Exam ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Educational Qualifications

Pass in SSLC or its equivalent
A Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (3 year course) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or any institution recognized by Central Government or State Government.
Must hold a current valid Driving License authorizing him to Drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicle and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle.

Physical Qualification

Should be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below.

Male Candidates

Height: 165 cm ; For SC/ST Candidates 160 cm
Chest Measurement : 81cm
Chest Expansion : 5cm

Note: No relaxation will be allowed to SC/ST candidates in the matter of chest measurement and chest expansion

Female Candidates

Height :160 cm; For SC/ST Candidates :150 cm

Note: Taller persons may be given preference.

Both the male and Female candidates must be certified to possess the visual standards specified without glasses.

Distant Vision Left Eye : 6/6 Snellen; Right Eye : 6/6 Snellen
Near Vision Left Eye : 0.5 Snellen; Right Eye: 0.5 Snellen

Note: Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour Blindness, Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification.

Candidates must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Feet, Varicose veins, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing.

The Visual Standards shall be certified by a Medical Officer not below the Rank of an Assistant Surgeon specialized in Ophthalmology of a Government Hospital. Candidates should produce Medical Certificate in original in the following format as and when called for by the Commission.

Note- Candidates, who have the responsibility to prove that they satisfy the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for the recruitment.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Age Limit : 21-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.
