The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is the minimum qualification required in India for a person to be eligible for the entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5, and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (T-TET or Tripura TET) is the Teachers' Recruitment Board, Tripura.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session
2004-05) by whatever name known.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education by whatever name known, in accordance with the NCTE
(Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 (or one year Diploma in
Education up to academic session 2004-05).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor
of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma
in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in
Education up to academic session 2004-05) by whatever name known.
OR
Graduation with at least 50 % marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).(Further,
a candidate having B. Ed. from any NCTE recognized institution with 50% marks in
Graduation shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V
provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six
month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE, within two years
of such appointment as primary teacher.)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks(One time relaxation
as per MHRD notification, dated: 04.01.2019)
OR
Graduation(One time relaxation as per MHRD notification, dated: 04.01.2019)
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PH.
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in
Education up to academic session 2004-05) by whatever name known.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.), in
accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued
from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years
Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.).

Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education (B. Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed)etc., are provisionally allowed to appear in T-TET ( Paper I & II). Provisionally admitted candidates should have successfully completed the course in the current academic year itself and should produce Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education Certificate/Mark sheet during Certificate Verification, otherwise, T-TET certificate will not be issued to them and their candidature will be cancelled.

The test fees for UR category applicant is Rs. 300/ (Rupees three hundred only) and for reserved category (SC/ST/PH) applicant is Rs. 200/ (Rupees two hundred only) for each paper of T-TET 2019.Fees once deposited will not be refunded or adjusted for any other test in future. Candidates are to deposit test fees online (using debit or credit card & internet banking only). No other mode of payment will be accepted. Bank charges may apply.
Notes: Since provision of pre-test scrutiny of mark-sheets/certificates/documents is not there, a candidate needs to satisfy herself/himself that every selection or input in the online application is correct as per criteria and terms and conditions of the test. In case a candidate pays less than the actual amount of fees due to selection of wrong category or otherwise, her/his candidature willbe treated as cancelled even if she/he gets pass marks or more in the test.
