How To Link Aadhaar Card With Pan Card Online

Government has made it mandatory to link the Aadhaar card with Pan Card for filing income tax from 1st July 2017. Recently 'Link Aadhaar' link is provided at the home page of income tax e-filing website 'http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/'. Follow the below 2 easy steps to link Aadhaar card with Pan Card.

Step-1

Open the link https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/LinkAadhaarHome.html. In the page you can see below form.

Step-2

Fill the the PAN number, 12 digit Aadhaar Number, Name exactly same as Aadhaar card and letters of the Captcha Code correctly. After that click on 'Link Aadhaar' button. That's all you are done and your Aadhaar card is linked with PAN card.

Alternatively you can link by login to e-Filing portal with your user id and password. Click on the 'Profile Settings' and then click on 'Link Aadhaar' from the drop down list. Enter your Aadhaar card details to link the Aadhaar with PAN card.

Earlier people were facing problems with linking Aadhaar card with PAN card because it was possible only if Name & Date of Birth are exactly matching in both cards. But in some places people were using just initials in Aadhaar card instead of full name. This problem is fixed in the website and it is very easy for people to link Aadhaar with PAN card now.

With this initiatives it is possible only single PAN card with a single Aadhaar card (Means any person can have only single PAN card). In case some one is keeping multiple PAN cards illegally they will be automatically cancelled after the cut off time.
